About Sophie
I am passionated by creating beauty. And in doing so, I prefer working with living matter, because it is earth-bound, and this is how I end up in the garden. Creating beauty in gardens is a powerful drive for me. It is even stronger than myself. Like I am pushed to do this. So it is abundantly clear that my mission in this life is to engage with this passion. Being involved with gardens gives me great and genuine pleasure! For me, every garden (big or small doesn't matter) is an endless source of inspiration where I can immerse myself completely.
It fascinates me to turn a garden into a sparkling, harmonious whole so that it radiates a lot of positive energy. Finding the right proportions and shapes to make everything work. Talk to me about the Golden Ratio, Secret Geometry and the Fibonacci sequence and I will hang on your every word: divine proportions that connect art and nature in all times and cultures, that is pure magic! I like to think of designing a garden as a form of art. After all, creating a garden plan is a wonderful process that takes place, always in different shapes, colors and scents: an infinite variation. I never get tired of it. I'm always learning.
I thoroughly enjoy drawing gardens. I have more ideas than I am ever going to be able to realise! And I always love to challenge my creativity. Every designed garden with a natural harmony means a fulfilled mission in my grand plan to create as much beauty as possible in as many spaces as possible.
Our vision on gardens
Your garden is the piece of earth that you can transform into your own place: coming home to your own garden. What could be nicer than relaxing in your own beautiful garden during or after a busy day? A beautiful garden invites you to enjoy.
Ons manifest
I design and create ecological gardens because I believe that creating beauty in gardens makes the world a more beautiful place. Would you like to know more about what my biggest motivations are? You can read in my manifesto whether we have a CLICK in the kind of gardens that you and I like.
Why do I design gardens?
This is Sofie's story. Why am I a garden designer? Why do I enjoy what I do so much? What drives me to let people design their own gardens (with my guidance)?
