This is my story. I would like to tell you why I love designing gardens so much and why I want to help people design their own gardens.

A garden is of inestimable value to me.

A beautiful garden is the greatest gift you can give yourself.

Natural beauty makes you happy

On the one hand, the beauty in gardens helps to make you happier as a resident . Not only you as a resident, but also your family, your visitors, ... Beauty really works wonders. Beauty may be subjective but no one can resist the beauty of a natural environment.

Your garden boosts your mental health

On the other hand, a garden is an indispensable tool for our mental well-being . An ecological garden is a place where you reconnect with nature. Being in your garden or doing something in your garden restores that contact and from there we as humans come back into contact with ourselves. It is a healing place, I sometimes call it your 'power place'. A place to recharge your batteries, be powerfully yourself and from there to put your own mission into the world.

These two important values that a beautiful ecological garden fulfills mean that I find my work as a garden designer very valuable. I feel like I am making an important contribution to people's well-being and happiness.

Take your power back

This is the third aspect that came to mind about ten years ago.

If people think about their garden themselves, they restore autonomy within themselves . They take their power back into their own hands. In this way they create the garden that suits them perfectly. After all, you know best what your wishes are for your garden, and with the necessary expert guidance you can get the most out of your garden.

In this way it is no longer about that ideal picture but about a garden that can be experienced and lived in. Your garden is that place on earth where you can be 100% whoever you want, a place that you can decorate however you want.

If you realize this, it is obvious that you choose an 'ecological' garden, because it naturally suits us as humans the most and these are simply logical choices you make. If you are in touch with yourself , you need all that artificial stuff much less. Then green is the basis of every garden.
